About the position

The Data Analyst I at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals plays a crucial role in supporting the data analytics functions of the organization. This position involves creating reports and dashboards, evaluating fundraising performance, and identifying trends to enhance the organization's programs. The Data Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, documents processes, and serves as a resource for internal stakeholders, contributing to the mission of improving children's health across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, reporting, evaluating, and interpreting data concerning the performance of key areas of the organization.
  • Create internal technical documentation that accurately depicts intended specifications and features, functionality, and data structure.
  • Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to help business unit leaders manage and optimize their work.
  • Work with the team to identify and implement growth and fundraising enhancing strategies to further the mission of the organization.
  • Assist in extracting data with queries across platforms such as CRM systems, HRIS, Azure Databases, and data warehouses.
  • Work on low to medium complexity ad hoc requests within one or more functional areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • 1-2 years of Business Analysis, Data Visualization, Reporting, or related technical experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with data cleaning and preparation techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Understanding of financial indicators and their implications.
