About the position

The Data Analyst I at Gesa Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting the business intelligence and data governance needs of the organization. This position involves maintaining and validating data governance systems, developing business intelligence tools, and creating reports to assist stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions. The analyst will be part of the Risk and Performance Team, contributing to strategic planning and monitoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support accurate analytical models, Business Intelligence/reporting systems, and data warehouse solutions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify new reporting, dashboarding, and analytical opportunities.
• Support the ongoing validation and maintenance of the Credit Union's data sources.
• Assist with various data validation, balancing, and business intelligence projects.
• Maintain business intelligence systems and capabilities for diverse stakeholders.
• Monitor performance indicators and ensure compliance with data-related policies and standards.
• Participate in evaluations of quality control systems and report findings with recommendations.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of core operating systems and business intelligence software.
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and suggest maintenance or modifications.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

• General understanding of data governance and business intelligence principles.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of data validation and quality control processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions.
