The Data Analyst II position in Des Moines, Iowa, focuses on analyzing health management programs through data collection, validation, and outcome measurement. The role involves working with various data types, including financial, pharmacy, claims, and member data, while also handling reporting requirements for IRS, CMS, HHSC, and HEDIS. The analyst will create reports using MS-Excel, MS-Access, and SQL, and will be responsible for interfacing with senior management and stakeholders. Additionally, the position requires monitoring data trends, executing data changes, and assisting in training lower-level analysts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze health management programs including data collection, validation, and outcome measurement.
- Create and generate reports using MS-Excel, MS-Access, and SQL.
- Produce reports for senior management and internal/external stakeholders.
- Gather and interpret business requirements and monitor data trends.
- Execute data changes and update core systems as needed.
- Handle multiple projects and timelines effectively, communicating risks and issues to management.
- Assist with training lower-level Data Analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Business Objects, SQL, and Microsoft Applications (Excel and Access).
- Experience with HEDIS data analysis and reporting.
- SAS skills are a must.
