About the position

The Data Analyst at Navigant Credit Union plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining organizational reports, metrics, and dashboards. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data distribution to support the credit union's goals. The Data Analyst will leverage existing data applications to drive continuous process improvement and provide strategic insights to various teams, particularly in marketing and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Extract data from multiple sources to create meaningful visualizations such as charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Support organizational goals through data collection and analysis for assigned projects and process improvement programs.
  • Maintain existing dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and consistent delivery using automated tools and workflows.
  • Deliver data-driven insights, trends, and predictions to the Marketing team regarding media optimization and investment opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information gathering for internal and external audit requests.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Lending teams to identify opportunities for new member acquisition.
  • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data, devising methods for data collection such as surveys and focus groups.
  • Work with representatives from various departments to apply data insights and suggest business model implementations.
  • Perform additional reporting, analysis, project, and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Mathematics required.
  • Minimum one year of SQL experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and data presentation/report writing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of advanced statistical methods, machine learning, data mining, and AI.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python or R.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minor in Marketing/Marketing Analytics preferred.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, and SalesForce preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital analytics and social media measurement tools like Google Analytics.
