About the position

CrescentCare is seeking a Data Analyst II to join their Information Systems Department. This role is crucial for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive decision-making in healthcare. The Data Analyst II will work with large datasets, develop reports and dashboards, assist in predictive modeling, and ensure data quality and integrity while collaborating with stakeholders to communicate insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Analysis: Work with large datasets from EHR and other systems to extract, clean, and analyze data.
• Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Predictive Modeling: Assist in building predictive models to support organizational goals.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all platforms.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders, aiding in data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Health/Medical Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in extracting clinical, operational, and financial data from electronic health record or similar systems.
• At least 1 year of experience writing complex SQL queries involving subqueries, temp tables, and window functions or experience building and maintaining SQL databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries.
• Familiarity with programming languages like R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to present complex data insights clearly and effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
