General Summary: The Data Analyst II is responsible for translating data into actionable insights for key decision-makers throughout the company. Using a data-driven mindset, the analyst will support initiatives to improve internal processes and provide solutions by converting data into useful information. The Data Analyst II will work with a team of analysts and other key stakeholders to develop reports and other tools to improve work efficiency for end users. Essential Job Functions: The Data Analyst II performs analysis, reporting, and visualization of data to support decisions within different areas of the company. They follow industry-standard practices for data analytics, create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using interactive data visualization software. The analyst builds automation and additional efficiencies into manual reporting efforts, collaborates with end users on the design and development of solutions, and understands business processes and underlying data and reporting needs. They support the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new reporting requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The analyst transforms and repairs new and existing data sets to be leveraged in analytical models, conducts complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and presents content to users of business intelligence tools while providing suggestions on the best way to utilize data analysis tools to enhance daily operations. Additionally, they monitor current data analysis tools and provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and improve data visualizations and reports. The analyst must be capable of safely handling government-furnished equipment and materials and must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
