About the position

The Data Analyst II position focuses on overseeing and governing Work Management for the Gas Transmission Midstream (GTM) business. The role involves collaboration with various teams to deliver trusted data, analytics, and reports that meet customer needs, while also ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in work management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to develop, maintain, and enhance work management process documentation, statistical analysis, and reporting processes from ERP systems.
  • Analyze and coordinate the development of reports and scorecards to present to leadership, identifying trends in Work Management processes that require investigation for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Operational Region/Area Planners, Schedulers, and the GTM Work Management team to ensure consistent development and maintenance of information and data within the maintenance management tool.
  • Implement effective methodologies to support continuous improvement and monitoring of Work Management practices throughout the work order lifecycle, from identification and planning to execution and close-out.
  • Develop, track, and report on regulatory compliance and KPIs to optimize maintenance practices and asset performance through timely maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure the performance of critical systems preventative maintenance (PMs) meets defined criteria.
  • Foster teamwork and commitment among a dispersed team to enhance high performance.
  • Ensure that client priorities are met through effective project management.
  • Participate in planning and achieving departmental or project goals within your area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • University degree with 6+ years of experience, or 8+ years of relevant field experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in data and reporting analytics related to Pipeline, Gas Processing, Petro-Chemical, or Pipeline operations and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas or Utilities operational requirements and processes.
  • Experience with applications such as Maximo, Oracle, GIS, Power BI, and Document Management Systems (e.g., Filenet/SharePoint).
  • Working knowledge of business processes in SAP or similar Maintenance Management Systems, specifically in WM Governance, Planning, and Scheduling.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI and creating automated data reports/analyses in Excel.
  • Familiarity with large database architectures and models.
  • Strong understanding of field operations and technology concepts, combined with solid business and planning skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Diploma or technical certificate in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification preferred, or willingness to pursue it.
  • Operational or maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Work Management principles related to planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with Maximo (EAM) or equivalent systems.
