About the position

The Data Analyst III position at Centene Corporation is focused on fulfilling the analytic data needs of the business unit. This role involves handling complex data projects and leading other Data Analysts. The analyst will provide advanced analytical support across various operational areas, including claims, provider data, member data, clinical data, HEDIS, and pharmacy. The position requires extracting, loading, modeling, and reconciling large datasets while ensuring compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex data projects and act as a lead for other Data Analysts.
• Provide advanced analytical support for business operations in areas such as claims, provider data, member data, clinical data, HEDIS, and pharmacy.
• Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources.
• Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to management.
• Develop reports and deliverables for management.
• Model data using MS Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis.
• Assist with training and mentoring other Data Analysts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects or heavy involvement in project implementation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with HEDIS metrics and reporting.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare.
