About the position

The Data Analyst III - Visual Studies position at Centene Corporation is responsible for addressing the analytic data needs of the business unit. This role involves handling complex data projects and leading other Data Analysts, providing advanced analytical support across various operational areas, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Model data, build and automate reports using MS Excel, Access, SQL, Visual Studios SSRS and SSIS, PowerBI, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools.
• Provide advanced analytical support for business operations in areas such as claims, provider data, member data, clinical data, and external reporting.
• Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources.
• Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
• Develop reports and deliverables for management.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis.
• Assist with training and mentoring other Data Analysts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects or heavy involvement in project implementation.
• Proficient skills in SQL and SSRS.
• Knowledge of SSIS (Visual Studios) for moving data.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge in Powershell (not mandatory).
• Possible knowledge in a report scheduler ideally Active Batch (not mandatory).
• Knowledge in different areas of Healthcare (credentialing, claims, authorizations, telephonics, but not mandatory).
