About the position

The Data Analyst III position at Airswift is a remote role focused on supporting a leading player in the Oil and Gas industry. The role involves advanced data manipulation and visualization, primarily using tools like PowerBI and Alteryx. The ideal candidate will work independently, ensuring data accuracy and providing analytical support to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Import, cleanse, validate, and analyze large datasets from various sources relevant to the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through robust validation processes.
  • Consolidate and present data in visually engaging formats, such as charts, graphs, and tables, to support business decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate insightful reports to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights related to operational efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support tailored to the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Utilize PowerBI for advanced data manipulation and visualization, creating impactful dashboards to communicate findings.
  • Manage and execute data queries to support ongoing analysis and reporting efforts.
  • Maintain a strong focus on improving data quality and streamlining data processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Strong experience with PowerBI as a Power User, demonstrating the ability to create complex dashboards and visuals that inform decision-making.
  • Familiarity with data flows, data manipulation, and troubleshooting data issues is essential.
  • Previous experience with Alteryx is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights in simple terms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certifications in data analysis, such as Microsoft PowerBI Certification, or similar, are a plus.
