Randolph-Macon College, a private, co-educational liberal arts institution, invites applications for a full-time Data Analyst in the office of Institutional Effectiveness & Research (IER). The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the College's academic and administrative units by developing, implementing, and disseminating analyses on a range of College information. This includes student enrollment and demographics, retention, graduation, and financial aid. The position reports directly to the Director of IER and requires close collaboration with the Director, members of the Provost's Office, and faculty and staff. The Data Analyst will support IER processes, which encompass data analysis for federal and state reporting, academic and administrative assessment, accreditation, and external surveys/rankings. The role involves responding to routine and ad-hoc data requests from both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Analyst will assist with dashboard development, key indicator reporting, production of the annual Fact Book, and administration of surveys. Conducting quantitative analyses on various topics such as enrollment, retention, graduation, student demographics, facilities, and financial aid is a key responsibility. The Data Analyst will provide data support to College administrators, faculty, staff, and other members of the college community as needed, ensuring that data is presented in a format suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences. Furthermore, the Data Analyst will design and implement predictive data models to facilitate data-driven decision-making in areas such as strategic planning, admissions, financial aid, enrollment forecasting, and student retention. The role also requires analyzing, interpreting, and developing complex data into narrative reports and audience-appropriate data visualizations, executive summaries, and dashboards for use by stakeholders. Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data is paramount, along with providing periodic reports regarding the status of assigned projects and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
