About the position

The Data Analyst Intern will assist the Data & Analytics Team at Encore in enhancing and supporting the company's data landscape. This role focuses on building analytic information tools, reports, and applications specifically for the Event Services Market. The intern will gather important company data, compile it into actionable specifications, and work on multiple projects simultaneously to translate business data into digestible insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing data models and developing reporting tools under the supervision of a Data Engineer.
• Create, review, and submit weekly insight reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations for FP & A & Workforce Analytics BI suites.
• Help define and monitor KPIs to identify areas of concern and propose analyses or corrective actions.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student pursuing a STEM major with a 3.5 GPA or above.
• Competent in basic or advanced Excel functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.
• Basic experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Reporting Services.
• Experience writing T-SQL syntax in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Knowledge of Python and familiarity with machine learning concepts/algorithms.
• Ability to work in an agile and creative environment.
• Solid communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated individual with a passion for Data Analytics and continuous learning.
