About the position

The Data Analyst position at Insight Global involves working closely with data engineers to define and improve workflows related to data processing from POS systems. The role requires analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, and necessary adjustments to enhance data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Process data from POS stores on Mondays.
• Provide processed data to data engineering teams on Tuesdays for workflow analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify store performance spikes or downfalls and recommend changes.
• Analyze data from Wednesday to Friday to create workflows and identify gaps.
• Develop data-driven documentation to support engineers in adjusting workflows.

Requirements

• Strong experience in SQL, including writing SQL queries and understanding SQL tables.
• Experience with POS systems or transactional data, particularly in consumer packaged goods (CPG).
• Experience in data-driven documentation and aggregating data using Azure Databricks.
• Ability to help define workflows and identify data gaps.
