This position is designed for an experienced professional with 7-10 years of experience who will lead data science projects focused on channel optimization, enhancing customer experience, product personalization, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a talented team of data scientists, software developers, and business leaders to develop and deliver next-generation AI/ML solutions that significantly impact the business. In this role, you will be responsible for formulating the AI strategy for the business unit, shaping and drafting AI/ML use cases, and transforming ideas into actionable business cases. You will assess requirements and formulate use cases while developing strategies to address business problems. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, developing, implementing, and overseeing high-end analytical technology processes and solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence methods. You will build analytical solutions and models by manipulating large datasets and integrating diverse data sources. Performing ad-hoc analysis and developing reproducible analytical approaches to meet business requirements will be part of your daily tasks. You will conduct exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods, applying machine learning and statistical techniques to large datasets to extract actionable insights. Your ability to use complex algorithms to develop systems and applications that deliver business functions will be essential. Presenting results and recommendations to senior management and business users, you will communicate the business value of technical solutions effectively. Your role will require you to be a master at analyzing data, thriving in an environment where enormous volumes of data are generated rapidly. You will need to be a creative thinker, capable of exploring and uncovering issues, and decisive in your approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience in leading large scale data science projects and delivering from end to end.
  • Experience with distributed computing tools (e.g., Hive, Spark, PySpark, Scala, Tez/Map-reduce framework).
  • Strong technical experience in machine learning and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to package analysis in clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or PhD in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or economics.
  • Strong foundational quantitative knowledge and skills; extensive training in math, statistics, engineering, or related fields.
  • Eight or more years of experience in practicing machine learning and data science in business.
  • Experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods and tools, building and implementing models, creating algorithms, and running simulations.
  • Experience in advanced machine learning algorithms - deep learning, boosting methods, time series, etc.
  • Experience in data management and data analysis in Big Query, GCP.
