About the position

The Data Analyst & IT Systems Support position at Arapahoe County involves providing desktop and network end-user support specifically for Human Services technology and programming. The role focuses on assisting in data analysis and business best practices, training staff on software applications, and enhancing technological resources to support the department's mission of promoting safety and stability for families. This position is integral to the department's Two-Generation approach, ensuring that services are coordinated effectively for both children and adults.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site user support for all technological resources.
  • Acts as a liaison with other Divisions and Departments to ensure staff has appropriate access to necessary databases and software.
  • Provides on-site help desk services for users by researching problems and correcting them or contacting the appropriate help desk.
  • Assists in the development, coordination, and training of all Human Services employees on office software.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and coordinates technological needs and program improvements, making recommendations to the Data and Systems Administrator.
  • Provides training to all office personnel on applicable software programs.
  • Sets up PC desktop support including replacing, updating, and installing equipment and software.
  • Attends ongoing training to enhance knowledge of technological changes and developments.
  • Analyzes various types of data to identify trends and increase efficiencies throughout the Division.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • 1-2 years' data reporting and/or data analysis experience
  • 1-2 years' IT helpdesk support experience
  • 2-3 years in professional casework, case management, or human services experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Extensive knowledge of Public Assistance programs and State Eligibility systems

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with case management software
