About the position

The Data Science Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing academic and business outcomes at Stride by preparing, designing, and executing models and data products. This position is part of the analytics team, focusing on analyzing various data sources to address significant research questions and deliver well-documented analyses.

Responsibilities

• Leverage products such as DBT, SQL, Python, and GitHub to collect, organize, and model data sets according to business requirements.
• Design, create, deploy, and maintain various products and applications through the Power BI service.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses to drive insights and summarize major conclusions, constraints, or cautions.
• Build and manage cross-functional relationships to synthesize data domain knowledge.
• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization, including data ownership.
• Collaborate with visualization and modeling teams to ensure product cohesiveness.
• Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Five years of relevant professional experience with BI tools and SQL modeling, including at least three years of experience in action and outcome-oriented data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases for BI products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Two or more years modeling with DBT / Snowflake preferred.
• Three or more years developing BI products (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.).
• Experience in K12 education as a teacher, researcher, or data personnel.
