About the position
The Data Analyst at Davcor Aviation Services is responsible for data collection and analysis to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring data accuracy, and generating reports and visualizations to aid strategic planning. The position is based on-site in San Antonio, TX, and is not remote.
Responsibilities
- Consulting with executives and other business leaders to identify improvement opportunities
- Creating reports for internal teams, external clients and/or stakeholders
- Collaborating with team members to collect and analyze data
- Visualizing data with graphs, infographics and other methods
- Establishing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
- Structuring large data sets to find usable information
- Processing information with a team of analysts and other associates
- Crafting presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Two or more years of higher education required
- General understanding of database functions and principles
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with heavy focus on Excel
- Excellent computer, typing and data entry skills
- Proficient ability to communicate in English orally and in writing, and follow instructions
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
- Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
