About the position

The Data Analyst Manager for Health & Human Services is responsible for overseeing the operations of the data analysts' team within the Managed Care Utilization Review (MCUR) department. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data processes, performing complex data analysis, and guiding the development of data management tools and standards. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the day-to-day activities of the data analysts' team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of databases and data collection systems.
  • Lead the analysis of data sets and ensure data quality for performance dashboards and reports.
  • Establish and update data quality metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide suggestions for systematic changes to improve data collection and infrastructure.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in data analytics, data science, business analytics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting work.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Minimum of 4 years of management level experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Medicaid.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI) suite.
  • Work experience in Medicaid, managed care, healthcare, non-profit, or public service.
