About the position

The Data Analyst Manager at Sedgwick is responsible for managing a team of data analysts, developing complex reports, and analyzing both corporate and client-specific data. This role serves as a technical resource for staff on data analysis and benchmarking issues, provides training and education for program staff, and offers technical oversight to client-dedicated analysts across multiple locations. The position emphasizes a culture of caring and support for employees' mental, physical, financial, and professional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a staff of data analysts including project assignment and workflow.
  • Develop comprehensive, complex, and accurate information reports including OSHA reporting for specific clients.
  • Create complex data reports and provide analysis for forecasting and/or benchmarking used by senior management.
  • Communicate data findings for forecasting and client needs directly to senior management.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on company or client-specific information needs.
  • Provide complex data analysis functions to meet client-specific, program, or company senior management needs.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues on data analysis and benchmarking issues.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to client-dedicated analysts located in multiple field offices.
  • Provide training and data analysis education for colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis preferred.
  • Eight years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required, including four years in an insurance-related field and four years in statistical analysis.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk management information systems including utilization and functionality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet or exceed performance competencies.
