About the position

The Senior Enterprise Data Analyst is responsible for developing and managing business data rules and workflows to ensure the consistency, reliability, and accessibility of shared data assets. This role focuses on enforcing data governance across the enterprise, managing daily activities related to the MDM application and enterprise data warehouse, and collaborating with various teams to drive process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide BI reporting solutions.
  • Conduct the conversion of data into new system applications.
  • Build and maintain data models.
  • Assist with the creation of quality assurance test scripts.
  • Provide centralized communications for governance-led and data-related matters.
  • Arrange for the provision of information and analysis to IT projects.
  • Oversee the identification of process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures.
  • Develop and continuously maintain enterprise data standards.
  • Conduct data standards training as part of the onboarding process.
  • Continuously monitor the quality of existing data and coordinate appropriate clean-up projects.
  • Work closely with partners within ITS to automate manual processes.
  • Develop metrics to measure, monitor, and report on data quality compliance.
  • Collect, maintain, and reconcile data on a day-to-day basis; create, maintain, and purge specified data as required; make individual or mass corrections, modifications, and/or updates to data as appropriate.
  • Serve as a resource for interpreting plan rules and researching historic changes in relation to quality and efficiency of the data.
  • Resolve data inconsistencies and perform detailed root cause analysis.
  • Research, verify, and edit data to ensure its reusability and completeness.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on data inquiries.

Requirements

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and query authoring (SQL).
  • Experience in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data visualization/BI tools.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; consideration will be given to candidates with equivalent education, experience, and training.
  • A total of a minimum of 5 years experience in Data Management.
