About the position

The Data Analyst in Product & Regulatory Operations (PRO) at Meta plays a crucial role in product development and legal compliance by providing data-driven insights to enhance products like Facebook and Instagram. This position involves collaborating with various teams to solve operational challenges and optimize product outcomes through analytics, storytelling, and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify metric trends and insights for business reviews to provide leadership visibility into operational health and performance against desired outcomes.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable analyses, clearly communicating technical concepts and operational implications to varied audiences.
  • Develop scalable analytics solutions that provide the essential insights needed to support agile decision making.
  • Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and advise strategy for Product Delivery Operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Systems, and Engineering teams to identify and execute against opportunities that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive forecasting, scenario planning, and predictive analytics to optimize our operational expenditures.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a similar technical field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in an analytics or consulting role involving strategy, problem solving, and/or technical systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in communication with management.
  • Experience using analytics to break down ambiguous, complex problems using data.
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks.
  • Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Applied Economics or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience.
