About the position

The Data Analyst in Product & Regulatory Operations at Meta plays a vital role in product development and legal compliance by providing data-driven insights to enhance products like Facebook and Instagram. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges, develop scalable analytics solutions, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. The analyst will leverage one of the largest data sets globally to inform decision-making and optimize product outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify metric trends and insights for business reviews to provide leadership visibility into operational health and performance against desired outcomes.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable analyses, clearly communicating technical concepts and operational implications to varied audiences.
  • Develop scalable analytics solutions that provide the essential insights needed to support agile decision making.
  • Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and advise strategy for Product Delivery Operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Systems, and Engineering teams to identify and execute against opportunities that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive forecasting, scenario planning, and predictive analytics to optimize our operational expenditures.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a similar technical field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in an analytics or consulting role involving strategy, problem solving, and/or technical systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in communication with management.
  • Experience using analytics to break down ambiguous, complex problems using data.
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks.
  • Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Applied Economics or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience.
