About the position

The Product Strategy Analyst at Healthfirst plays a crucial role in supporting the Medicaid Product Strategy team by providing analytical insights that drive profitable growth across the Medicaid market portfolio. This position involves collaboration with various departments to support market growth plans, analyze financial performance, and prepare accurate reporting for stakeholders. The analyst will also be responsible for managing projects, developing applications, and translating complex data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to the Medicaid Product Strategy team.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, marketing, and other departments to support market growth plans.
• Compile information from multiple sources for accurate reporting.
• Analyze financial performance of Medicaid Products and identify trends.
• Design and maintain monthly competitive reports.
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting for senior management and external partners.
• Create models to forecast growth performance and financial outcomes.
• Manage projects by setting clear milestones and deliverables.
• Gather and specify departmental requirements for projects.
• Develop applications and reports using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and/or Tableau for data manipulation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong ownership and pride in work deliverables.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Experience in analyzing membership growth and retention trends.
• Ability to validate data and identify errors in analyses.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a health care delivery system or health insurance company.
