About the position

The Data Analyst (Revenue Cycle) at Children's National Medical Center is responsible for developing data solutions that support business goals. Responsibilities

  • Develop clear and well-structured analytical plans to support business goals.
  • Analyze data sets and convert data into insights for informed business decisions.
  • Maintain proficiency in all available databases to serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with data security standards.
  • Prioritize business goals and identify efficient reporting solutions.
  • Establish KPIs to identify predictive trends for business decisions.
  • Gather and extract data from databases using tools like MS Excel, MS SQL, and Tableau.
  • Collaborate with a team to collect and process information for reporting.
  • Design and validate analyses of complex data sets and facilitate reporting.
  • Create visually clear and concise graphs and charts for presentations.
  • Document methodologies used in reporting outputs and data flow.
  • Develop quality control standards and perform routine data audits.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data management and training guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science or a related field.
  • 3 years of related experience required, 5 years preferred.
  • Experience with EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with standard statistical packages (e.g., SAS, R).
  • Ability to write SQL code using tools like SQL Server Management Studio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data analytics.
