About the position

At PitchBook, we are committed to driving financial success through our Revenue Operations team, which plays a crucial role in supporting our go-to-market teams. This position as a Data Analyst specializing in Sales and Customer Success is pivotal in leveraging data to enhance revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for utilizing data sourced from various repositories, including Snowflake as part of our Enterprise Data Platform, to create insightful dashboards, reports, and analytic products that address specific business questions and uncover actionable insights. Your analytical skills will be essential in providing visibility into performance metrics and KPIs, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making processes across the organization. In this role, you will conduct thorough analysis of sales and customer success data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization and customer retention. You will translate complex datasets into understandable insights for stakeholders, ensuring that the dashboards and reports you develop are accurate and relevant. Your insights will directly support sales and customer success strategies, helping to monitor key performance indicators such as sales pipelines, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing data governance best practices to maintain the integrity and quality of our data, conducting regular audits and validations to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, customer success, product, and finance, to align data analysis efforts with business objectives. Your ability to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders will be crucial in driving the success of our initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested, contributing to the overall growth and success of PitchBook.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of sales and customer success data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization and customer retention.
  • Translate complex datasets into understandable insights for stakeholders.
  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and analytics products to track sales performance, customer engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and relevance of reporting tools to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Generate actionable insights from data analysis to support sales and customer success strategies.
  • Support the monitoring of sales pipelines, conversion rates, customer satisfaction scores, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Conduct performance analysis and identify areas for improvement to optimize sales and customer success efforts.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of sales and customer success data by implementing data governance best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and validations to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analysis efforts with business objectives.
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders effectively.
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, in marketing or business intelligence role.
  • 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and extract meaningful insights.
  • Understanding of sales and customer success metrics, including pipeline analysis, churn rates, customer lifetime value (CLV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Understanding of marketing concepts and metrics, including return-on-investment, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
