About the position

The Data Analyst, Revenue Strategy & Analytics (NSA) will support the implementation of the No Surprises Act (NSA) by capturing business requirements, developing queries, and constructing data models to create reports and dashboards. This role focuses on compiling data related to revenue cycle, accounting, and finance operations, and translating end-user requirements into structured data sourcing plans.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, aggregate, and organize data from SQL databases housing revenue cycle data.
  • Generate and manage NSA-related dashboard data and operational reporting procedures.
  • Test data for accuracy and ensure reporting integrity.
  • Troubleshoot irregular data issues and correct non-conforming data relationships.
  • Produce an NSA-specific end-of-month reporting package for leadership teams.
  • Create routine and ad-hoc queries/analysis as requested.
  • Provide analytical support through advanced data compilation and predictive modeling.
  • Develop analyses/models to measure revenue mix and sensitivity assessments.
  • Compile data for deep dive analyses around NSA trip volumes and accounts receivable aging.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into operational reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
  • Assist with data governance activities to ensure consistent data presentation.
  • Monitor daily ETL results for accurate and timely data loading.
  • Maintain, repair, and optimize stored procedures and related processes.
  • Create SOPs and process flow diagrams as required.
  • Occasional travel to revenue cycle operations center in West Plains, MO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence (BI) related position.
  • Strong experience in developing business-friendly decision models from multiple data sources.
  • 1-2 years of experience writing T-SQL queries in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulaic metrics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare revenue cycle experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of sourcing datasets from SQL and understanding of data structures.
  • Basic understanding of Star Schema data model design.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills.
