About the position

The Data Analyst will manage reporting for the Talent and Development function within Brookdale Corporate. This role is crucial as it engages with program managers and leaders across the team to understand their data needs and conduct the appropriate reporting and analysis. The position focuses on five specific functions related to talent, including designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating monthly reporting for the talent organization. The analyst will also aid in the data collection and analysis of the Associate Listening System, serving as the main point of contact for all talent-related reporting and dashboards. Additionally, the role involves creating new talent and learning dashboards for leaders across the organization and collaborating with Operational leaders and Centers of Excellence leaders on the design and execution of data analysis. Under general supervision, the Data Analyst will assist in executing and supporting advanced reporting, new report design and development, and ad-hoc data analysis. Responsibilities include performing data analysis, ad hoc reporting, testing, and data validation tasks. The analyst will work directly with business users and leaders to ensure support of business objectives, design and implement new reporting and data analysis solutions, and assist with data quality reviews and data governance practices. The role also involves aiding in the estimation process to support project management, providing application guidance and support for data/reporting, and participating in training for subject matter experts. The analyst will communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business users, train incoming Data Analysts, and remain current on emerging technologies, providing after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting for the Talent and Development function.

  • Contribute skills to affect team's success and support other project teams.
  • Participate in training for subject matter experts and technical functions.

  • Train incoming Data Analysts on job functions.
  • Remain current on emerging technologies and provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two to four years related IT or business experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality data analysis and data-related results with Tableau and/or SQL required.
  • Qualtrics experience preferred.
  • Any relevant certifications are preferable but not required.
  • Ability to take direction and know when to refer issues to manager.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong design sense with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic understanding of Brookdale business practices and processes.
