About the position

The Senior Data Analyst - Technical Lineage position is a long-term contract role focused on delivering high-quality data solutions with an emphasis on technical lineage, ETL processes, and data mapping. The ideal candidate will work independently to drive projects forward, ensuring data accuracy and quality while utilizing tools like Collibra Edge and Manta. This role is critical for optimizing data flows and supporting project delivery in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Data Mapping and ETL Projects: Take full ownership of data mapping tasks and ETL processes, ensuring data is integrated accurately and flows seamlessly across systems.
  • Technical Data Analysis: Analyze and transform large datasets, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of data across platforms.
  • Collibra Edge & Manta Expertise: Use Collibra Edge and Manta to document, map, and trace data lineage, improving data governance and data flow tracking.
  • Drive Quality & Accuracy: Maintain a focus on data accuracy and quality, ensuring all data solutions meet the highest standards.
  • Self-Sufficient & Confident Execution: Act as the go-to expert for data analysis work, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate & Innovate: Contribute to Proof of Concepts (POCs) on new tools and improve data workflows.
  • Support Project Delivery: Ensure all components of the project are completed on time and meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior Data Analyst role with a proven track record in complex data mapping and ETL projects.
  • Strong background in ETL processes, data integration, and experience with data warehousing solutions.
  • Proficiency in Collibra Edge and Manta (or similar data governance and lineage tools).
  • A keen eye for detail with a focus on ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and quality.
  • A confident, self-driven individual who takes ownership of projects and can handle challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in data mapping, transformations, and conversions (e.g., JSON parsing or conversion).
  • Strong analytical mindset to understand and optimize data flows and extract meaningful insights from data.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data governance and tools for lineage tracking.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with data quality assurance and collaboration with QA teams.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams.
