About the position

The Staff level Technical Data Analyst position at Intermountain Health focuses on generating impactful solutions for customers within a defined clinical or business area. This role involves supporting management level leadership, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity while driving insights through data exploration and report development. The analyst will be part of an Agile Delivery Team, contributing to the development of technical products that align with Intermountain's strategic initiatives and operational targets.

Responsibilities

  • Support management level leadership in a defined clinical or business area.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and customer stakeholders to provide work updates and establish project priorities.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of customer data in partnership with Healthcare Data Advisors.
  • Drive information insights through data exploration, interpretation, and report development.
  • Contribute to the Agile Delivery Team in developing technical products that support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide high-level expertise and customer service to business and clinical customers.
  • Seek opportunities for collaboration to enhance analytic services.
  • Advance technical professional skills through structured and personal learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytics related field (statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, finance, business management, or economics) with two years of relevant work experience in data analysis, or a Bachelor's degree in another area with four years of relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate SQL ability and knowledge of database design, data modeling, and standardized data structures.
  • Experience creating visually appealing reports and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Cognos).
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
  • Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to acquire subject matter expertise in healthcare or related data.
