About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Analyst for a 6-month remote contract position. The role involves data mapping and delivering vital information to the consumer population for multiple data assets. The Data Analyst will work on attribution mapping, translating business requirements into detailed mapping documents, and providing mentorship to less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities

• Owns the attribution mapping details for data elements from source systems to target analytics data assets.
• Independently translates business requirements to detailed mapping documents and develops datasets.
• Performs peer code reviews and unit tests datasets to ensure maintainability and reusability.
• Provides mentorship and training for less experienced business and data analysts.
• Suggests continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Assesses the technical viability of new data solutions and provides design guidance.
• Contributes to technical documentation and project artifacts for data solutions.
• Identifies standards and best practices for analytics and Wealth Squad.
• Gives input into Data Models and Entity Relationship Diagrams to build efficient SQL.
• Creates and enhances context diagrams for data solutions to maintain auditability.
• Provides business rules, transformation logic, and SQL for mapping documents.
• Participates in Mapping Review Sessions and Data Architecture Review Sessions.

Requirements

• Data mapping and modeling experience
• Experience with SQL, SAS, and Python
• Knowledge of portfolio planning and project prioritization
• Strong knowledge of Risk Management practices in financial institutions
• Education: Master's Degree with 4+ years or Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years in data analytics or equivalent experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform, notably Big Query
• Experience programming in SQL, SAS, and Python
• Experience in data mapping and modeling.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile Methodologies, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Asana
• Experience with Wealth Systems like Envestnet, Pershing, GlobalPlus, and Omnipay Nextgen
• Extensive experience analyzing and interpreting business data with automation for data quality validations
• Experience in AbInitio or AbInitio Spectograph
• Experience working with APIs and a solution orchestration layer.
