About the position
The Data Analyst position is designed to assess complex data systems and programs within the School of Plant & Environmental Sciences. The role involves collecting data from multiple sources, producing statistics, and identifying trends to provide insights that inform the organization's leadership. The analyst will communicate findings and recommendations effectively to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Assess complex data systems and programs.
- Collect data from multiple sources to produce statistics and information.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to gain insights.
- Communicate informed conclusions and recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- Master's degree in data science, statistics, or related field, or a bachelor's degree with significant applicable work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence application.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server or a similar relational database.
- Experience with R or similar programming language.
- Experience analyzing environmental data.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including spatial data analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and graphical communication.
Nice-to-haves
