About the position

The Data Analyst position is a critical role focused on transforming data to meet the requirements of the Global Data Organization (GDO). This role involves working with various data formats and ensuring that the data aligns with the GDO's standards. The analyst will be responsible for profiling and mapping data from different sources, which includes discovering, analyzing, and scoping data requirements. This process will be represented in both conceptual and logical data models, ensuring clarity and precision in data representation. In addition to data transformation, the Data Analyst will create functional specifications for data transformation processes, known as Functional Specification Documents (FSDs). This documentation is essential for guiding the development and implementation of data solutions. The analyst will also be tasked with creating high-level process models, including system interface diagrams, workflow and swim lane diagrams, and data flow diagrams. These models will visually represent the processes under analysis, facilitating better understanding and communication among stakeholders. A significant aspect of this role is to improve the quality of data in relation to defined expectations. The Data Analyst will perform thorough analyses of system data to identify patterns, exceptions, and erroneous data, ensuring that the data used across the organization is accurate and reliable. Additionally, the analyst will serve as the voice for the Data Engineering (DE) team, advocating for data quality and integrity throughout the organization.
