About the position

The Research Data Analyst position at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a contracted role that will last for one year from the date of hire. This position involves working on research data from both national and international projects that aim to develop culturally and linguistically appropriate cognitive assessment tests. The assignments associated with this position are moderately diverse in scope, requiring the professional to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies when selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The final salary and offer components for this position are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy, and the salary range is set between $67,000 and $94,200 annually, depending on various factors including work experience and internal equity within the position classification at UCSF.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze research data from national and international projects.
  • Develop culturally and linguistically appropriate cognitive assessment tests.
  • Stimulate the development of novel tests for syndromic differentiation in different languages.
  • Understand the impact of bilingualism on cognition and dementia syndromes.
  • Promote language diversity in cognitive research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Working skills in statistical analysis, system programming, database design, and data security measures.
  • Working skills in data management.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with R, SPSS, STATA, and PYTHON.
  • Experience with Qualtrics and RedCAPS systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with patients or study subjects, including persons with dementia or caregivers.
  • Good proficiency in English, with additional language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Turkish, Kannada, or Hindi.
