About the position

The Data Analyst position at American Century Investments involves acting as a product owner within the Enterprise Data team, focusing on enhancing data productivity and governance. The role requires collaboration with various business leaders and teams to define and prioritize product backlogs for investment data domains, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Enterprise Data Management team and business leaders on the roadmap for Data Mastery and Data products.
• Utilize AWS cloud infrastructure (S3, Redshift, RDS) for data management.
• Develop ETL processes using Glue ETL, Python, and Lambda.
• Extract data from data stores and perform strong analytical assessments.
• Gather requirements and translate product vision into actionable stories with acceptance criteria.
• Assist in data mapping, modeling, and data flow processes for data architects.
• Conduct data testing to support in-sprint testing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in business, engineering, technology, or consulting.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and business/systems analysis.
• Experience with client data sets and ability to perform data mining and analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in learning new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
