About the position

The Data Analyst at Forj plays a crucial role in managing data integrity, analysis, and business intelligence. This position involves collaborating with Product and Client Success teams to understand client needs and develop solutions using the company's business intelligence tool. The Data Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data warehouse, creating reports and visualizations, and applying best practices in ETL processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the data warehouse for health and integrity, resolving discrepancies and ensuring consistency.
  • Create, publish, and optimize reports, visualizations, and dashboards in Domo.
  • Investigate client needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Administer processes to maintain appropriate data sources, such as Domo.
  • Apply ETL and business intelligence best practices, providing training and support to end users.
  • Navigate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement the right tools effectively.
  • Query data using Trino and PostgreSQL in AWS Athena, ensuring data transformation and loading from production applications.
  • Stay updated with Domo platform features and enhancements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Education or training in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with querying languages, especially SQL.
  • Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts for aggregate reports and data visualizations.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data flows, and data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix data-related issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Domo, PostgreSQL, DataGrip, AWS Athena, and/or Trino; working with API integrations.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Experience with data munging, statistical modeling, machine learning, and charting using Python, pandas, scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, git, and Github.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly Product, Client Success, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering.
