About the position

NAMSA is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in interpreting results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis. As a Data Analyst, you will develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate your data findings to stakeholders. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes. Monitoring data quality will also be a significant part of your responsibilities, where you will identify data issues and propose solutions for data cleansing or enhancement. Responsibilities

• Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis.
• Completes the gathering and cleaning processes for data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
• Uses statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights.
• Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively.
• Collaborates with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
• Monitors data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions.
• Stays updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field is required.
• At least three years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Analyst, or related profession.
• Proven project experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proven project experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
• Fluency in English and local language, if different, required.
• Strong communication, summarization, and presentation skills between diverse departments with varying technical knowledge.
• Ability to identify patterns, correlations, and trends from data that can provide insights into business operations, customer behavior, or market dynamics.
• High understanding of data warehousing tools (SAS, SQL, Hadoop) as well as programming languages (Python, R, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices to effectively communicate insight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to work with large datasets through data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to both technical and business executives.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
