About the position

As a Data Analyst at APC Postal Logistics, you will be integral to impactful projects that involve analyzing package tracking data to identify irregular patterns and develop effective solutions. This role requires collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Jupyter Notebook to enhance the company's shipping solutions and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data: Use data analytics tools on large amounts of shipment tracking data to identify abnormal package tracking patterns
• Create models: Create models from the data analyzed to easily and quickly identify abnormalities in package tracking
• Identify problems: Find the root causes of problems and identify issues with business procedures
• Propose solutions: Propose solutions to problems, which may include new systems and procedures
• Communicate findings: Present findings to decision makers and communicate insights to executives and cross-functional teams
• Implement changes: Confer with managers to ensure changes work and help implement changes
• Participate in standups and technical discussions
• Learn new problem-solving skills and tools

Requirements

• Pursuit of BS/MS degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or related technical field (in progress) or graduated with such degrees
• Experience with eCommerce or logistics industry is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred
• Experience with SQL, Jupyter Notebook, and other data science and AI platforms a plus
• Excellent Communication skills
