About the position

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Data Analyst to join a product team focused on delivering technology roadmaps that enhance work processes and create competitive advantages through effective data management strategies. This hybrid role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs, ultimately driving product development and decision-making automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, architects, and stakeholders to understand business objectives and user behavior.
• Capture, analyze, and document functional and data requirements for IT capabilities.
• Create and optimize queries for data retrieval using Cypher, VQL, and SQL.
• Assist in data management tasks, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• Coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
• Ensure quality of product releases through risk mitigation strategies and test automation scripts.
• Work across the organization to identify and resolve data quality issues in core applications.

Requirements

• Experience with query languages, especially Cypher, SQL, and VQL.
• Ability to develop proof of concepts and test new ideas for production systems.
• Experience with business analytics applications such as Power BI, Excel, and MS Access.
• Strong communication skills to convey data standards across stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Neo4j Graph database and Cypher.
• Experience with data quality and stewardship.
• Familiarity with development languages like TypeScript and Python.
• Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google, or Azure.
