About the position

The Data Analyst at FirstEnroll, LLC is a vital member of the data team, reporting directly to the Manager of Data Analytics. This role is primarily focused on analyzing financial data, interpreting complex datasets, and forecasting future trends. The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating accurate data insights by leveraging the company's data to build comprehensive reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and visualizations that effectively highlight data trends and anomalies. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and implementing data collection systems, data analytics, and strategies that enhance statistical efficiency and quality. We are looking for a technical, creative, and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and is a collaborative team player. In this role, the Data Analyst will engage in various primary duties, including but not limited to data collection and analysis, where they will collect, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources. They will analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. The position also involves reporting and visualization, where the analyst will develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools and present findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders. Statistical analysis is another key component, as the analyst will apply statistical techniques to analyze data and provide actionable insights, performing detailed data analysis that includes descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics. The Data Analyst will continuously develop tools and systems to automate processes and enhance reporting functionality. They will identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights to improve important departmental metrics, thereby supporting better business decisions. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals at various cross-functional levels within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
  • Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Perform detailed data analysis, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics.
  • Continuously develop tools/systems and automate processes to enhance reporting functionality.
  • Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights to improve business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in data analysis.
  • Proven proficiency in understanding and analyzing financial data.
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft databases including Power BI, MS Access, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of financial tools such as NetSuite, ERP, and Alteryx is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and financial metrics is preferred.
  • Experience with Private Equity or Venture Capital backed firms is preferred.
  • Trained in SQL/Alteryx and implementing a mid-market ERP/Financial System.
