About the position

The Data Analyst position at Continental Finance Company involves supporting the Risk team by providing data analysis and evaluating business processes to assess the organization's performance. The role includes analyzing performance data, compiling departmental reports, and participating in various projects to enhance business processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance and production data to assist in determining the organization’s present and estimate its future operations performance.
• Perform various data analytics in SQL, SAS, and/or Tableau.
• Compile and analyze productivity and performance data for all CFC departments and vendors.
• Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of all departmental reporting policies and procedures.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in analyst responsibilities.
• Analyze, document, and make recommendations to existing or new business processes.
• Participate in short and long-term projects and new initiatives.
• Participate in process redesign, testing, and measurement projects.
• Build and manage financial/analytical reporting models.
• Perform monthly self-audits of vendors.
• Identify and report to management production trends accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/MIS or related field.
• 0-2 years as a Risk Analyst or Data Analyst experience.
• Proficiency with SAS and SQL preferred.
• PC-related skills (SAS, SQL, Tableau, Excel, Access, Word, or other software applications) are preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills.
• Prior credit card or financial services experience a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial technology companies.
• Familiarity with credit card servicing and marketing.
