About the position

Akkodis is seeking a Data Analyst for a contract position that plays a crucial role in documenting and analyzing data flows between systems. The analyst will ensure data quality and integrity through comprehensive mapping and transformation techniques, working in a hybrid environment between Newark, NJ, and Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration of data across systems, performing complex data mapping and transformations, ensuring the accuracy of data flows from source to destination.
• Lead data quality and governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with organizational data standards, and acting as a key point of contact for data-related issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and external vendors to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure smooth data operations.
• Use advanced SQL and analytical skills to troubleshoot data discrepancies, analyze complex data sets, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
• Manage third-party vendor integrations, ensuring that API structures, especially RESTful APIs, are aligned with internal data needs, and handle communication between teams and vendors to clarify data requirements.
• Create, update, and manage detailed documentation of data flows, transformation logic, and mapping rules while ensuring that all technical documentation is accessible and understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements, identify automation opportunities, and work to streamline the data integration lifecycle while maintaining high standards of data accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 6-7 years of experience in data integration, data management, and analytics.
• Proven experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and data mapping techniques.
• Expertise in data governance, data quality management, and working with APIs, especially in a vendor-integrated environment.
