About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Information Systems and Innovations team within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Global Sustainment organization. This role is pivotal in supporting various RMS lines of business, including ATMP, IPV, and cross-functional projects, as the supply chain evolves to meet the demands of 1LMX business and digital transformation needs through dynamic artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive familiarity with data analytics, particularly in the context of supply chain and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). In this position, you will leverage your knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence to enhance the operational capabilities of RMS lines of business. Your responsibilities will include gaining a comprehensive understanding of business and program directives, utilizing demand history, sales trends, market insights, and operational metrics to create an information repository for senior leadership. You will be tasked with developing streamlined approaches to address various inquiries related to supply chain, program management, operations, inventory management, and financial metrics. This will involve creating tools and reports that utilize artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and support optimal decision-making. The role requires prior experience in using databases and developing reports/tools to manage multiple requests from programs, project engineering, and the supply chain. You will also need to effectively communicate your findings and assessments to cross-functional teams, helping to frame decisions and highlight relevant information. Additionally, light forecasting and demand plan development will be part of your responsibilities, supported by the tools and reporting you create.

Responsibilities

  • Support various RMS lines of business as the supply chain evolves to meet business and digital transformation needs.
  • Leverage demand history, sales trends, and market/customer insights to create an information repository for senior leadership.
  • Develop streamlined approaches to answer inquiries related to supply chain, program management, operations, inventory management, and financial metrics.
  • Create tools and reports that utilize artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and support decision-making.
  • Manage multiple requests from programs, project engineering, and the supply chain effectively.
  • Communicate findings and assessments to cross-functional teams to aid in decision-making.
  • Engage in light forecasting and demand plan development.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, programs, or data analytics in aerospace/defense, heavy manufacturing, or large-scale CPG/FMCG industries.
  • Programming experience in SQL, Python, and/or Angular.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Charts, or Power BI.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical assessments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, language processing, and neural networks.
  • High comfort level in dealing with Program and Business Development leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of statistical modeling software and threshold maintenance.
  • Experience conceptualizing and building light data analytics and forecasting tools.
  • Prior experience utilizing advanced forecasting suites like Amazon AWS, Kinaxis, or SAP IBP.
  • Understanding of inventory planning best practices.
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end S&OP/SIOP cycle.
  • Material planning/forecasting experience, including requirements planning and basic forecasting procedures.
  • Experience with MRP systems, preferably SAP ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams such as supply planning, procurement, and finance.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
