About the position

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets to support decision-making processes within the oil and gas sector. This role involves working with data warehouses and database management systems to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and maintain data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency
• Design, implement, and manage data warehouse solutions to store and organize large volumes of data
• Develop and maintain database systems, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
• Create detailed reports and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, geologists, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within data management and analysis workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in data analysis, data warehousing, and database management, preferably within the oil and gas industry
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
