The Data Analyst will support faculty within the Joint Program in Population and Prevention Sciences (J3PS) - a joint program of the Department of Pediatrics and the Child Health Institute of NJ. In this role, the analyst will support cutting-edge, collaborative research in the areas of systemic influences of health, such as social determinants of health, health system impacts, and forces related to equity and disparities. This position is crucial for understanding the practice and individual or population practices and impacts of primary care. The Data Analyst will perform analyses independently and in collaboration with faculty and postdoctoral fellows, supporting their research efforts. The analyst will develop and curate a data corps of publicly available data under the direction of program leadership. Key responsibilities include working with project leadership to develop valid and reliable plans for analyses consistent with underlying conceptual and operational models and study designs. The analyst will collaborate on epidemiological and statistical analyses supporting faculty research projects and implement these analyses once agreed upon. Additionally, the Data Analyst will develop and run statistically advanced programs in SAS, STATA, and R as appropriate for the research question and project.
