About the position

The Data Analyst position at Kforce involves supporting various teams including product, sales, leadership, and marketing by providing insights derived from company data analysis. The ideal candidate will utilize large data sets to answer business questions and enhance decision-making processes. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities and improve business outcomes through effective data mining and visualization techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to analyze trends and identify changes in the business
  • Develop dashboards to monitor outcomes
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze data and data accuracy
  • Work with a team to improve and develop data marts
  • Update and maintain management reports
  • Identify and design new reports
  • Assist in the evaluation of tools to mine, analyze, and display data
  • Review required data calls
  • Assist with data requirements for annual submission

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SQL, etc.
  • 2-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and analyzing data outcomes
  • Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, US census data, and insurance-specific data providers
  • Experience with different data tools such as mapping software, MySQL, PowerBi, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using PowerBI, Excel, mapping tools, PowerPoint, etc.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Experience with Snowflake preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience using data analytics tools such as R, Python, SQL, etc., to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures
