About the position

The Data Analyst at RWJBarnabas Health is responsible for collaborating with clinical departments to identify key quality and safety metrics, set up scorecards and SPC charts for data reporting and analysis, and assist in data mining and maintenance of data dictionaries. This role supports Quality, Patient Safety, and Performance Improvement projects within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Identify key quality and safety metrics within clinical departments.
• Format and set up scorecards and SPC charts for reporting and analyzing data.
• Assist in data mining and completion of data dictionaries.
• Maintain current data for data analysis within the QRS department or in support of external departments.
• Produce and distribute reports as necessary.
• Perform integration of nursing regulatory and accreditation reports via computerized and manual formats.
• Utilize various computer applications to record and analyze data accurately and timely.
• Flex hours to meet the requirements of assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience (Healthcare experience preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access and Visio.
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis and presentation (including pivot tables and graphs).
• Strong working knowledge of data mining from multiple sources.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with attention to follow-up.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
