About the position

The Data Analyst role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making across various departments. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, while also focusing on continuous improvement in data analysis practices and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external sources.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, correlations, and patterns.
  • Perform statistical analysis to validate hypotheses and support decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to key stakeholders and management.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Prepare regular reports to monitor business performance metrics, KPIs, and other critical data points.
  • Communicate findings and insights in a clear, concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, finance, and marketing, to support data needs and align on strategic goals.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for ongoing projects, A/B testing, and data-driven initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across platforms.
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend improvements to data collection and storage processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
  • Proactively recommend process improvements and explore new analytics tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and conduct quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in industry-specific fields, e.g., finance, healthcare, marketing analytics.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and big data tools (e.g., AWS, Google BigQuery, Hadoop).
