About the position

As a Data Analyst II at Consolidated Communications, you will play a crucial role in supporting various business segments, including Field Operations, Call Center, and Consumer services. Your primary responsibility will be to create analytical and reporting solutions that provide valuable insights to enhance operational efficiency and customer analytics. This position is pivotal in driving increased revenue and improving overall business performance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made based on accurate and timely information. Your contributions will be essential in shaping the future of our services as we continue to expand our fiber internet offerings across a 20-plus state service area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating data pipelines for ETL processes using tools such as Snowflake and Alteryx. You will document processes and analyses to identify areas for improvement, facilitating discussions with team members to align on reporting needs. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively will be key as you analyze data and generate insights that inform business decisions. You will also facilitate meetings, outline deliverables, and act as a liaison for technical requirements, ensuring that project scopes and deadlines are clearly communicated to the leadership team. Additionally, you will build and maintain tables within an Oracle database environment and document data management processes for the Field Operations and Call Center departments. Your role will involve preparing ad hoc analyses and monthly KPI reports for review by investors, the board of directors, and executive leadership. Overall, your analytical skills and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring data quality and accuracy, ultimately contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create data pipelines for ETL processes using Snowflake, Alteryx or similar tools
  • Document processes and create analyses to improve process efficiencies
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization to facilitate business discussion and align on business reporting needs
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively to analyze data and create insights to drive and inform business decisions
  • Facilitate meetings, assist with outlining deliverables, act as business liaison for technical requirements, and implement deadlines
  • Document and understand the relationship of business process with business application to shape and report data quality/accuracy
  • Build and maintain tables within an Oracle database environment
  • Document and implement data management processes for the Field Operations and Call Center departments
  • Communicate project scope, open items, and issues/risks to the leadership team
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and monthly KPI reports to be reviewed by investors, board of directors and the executive leadership team
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science, business analytics, or related field, or 3 years' experience
  • Knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools (e.g., SQL, JavaScript, R, Python, Excel VBA, RAW, SAS) preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent project management skills including experience in gathering and documenting requirements
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively on multiple requests/projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience with data reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to create strong relationships across the organization
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
