About the position

The Data Analyst at WestCare Foundation is responsible for analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to understand the patterns and effects of diseases, particularly substance use disorders, on public health. This role involves collaborating with staff to implement evaluation plans, conducting data collection and analysis, and preparing evaluation reports while adhering to confidentiality and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
  • Serve as a member of the Research and Evaluation Team.
  • Oversee the planning for and implementation of public health-related projects.
  • Collect and analyze data from interviews, focus groups, and surveys to identify causes of health problems.
  • Track fidelity of program plans, assessment tools, or surveys.
  • Design and implement statistical databases.
  • Train staff in evaluation procedures and evidence-based practice tools.
  • Conduct focus groups with staff, participants, stakeholders, and network members.
  • Assist the program with Performance Improvement projects.
  • Design and develop questionnaires and surveys.
  • Write reports on indicators and outcomes as required by the Evaluator.
  • Assist the Program Director with presentations, papers, and data dissemination.
  • Complete assessments at all required time points.
  • Enter required data into SAMHSA and WestCare databases.
  • Track participants and comply with new requirements as issued by relevant authorities.

Requirements

  • Three years of research experience, preferably in the social service field.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a research-related field; master's degree preferred.
