About the position

The Data Analyst position at Grand America Hotels & Resorts is focused on supporting the Marketing Technology team across various hotel and ski resort properties. The role involves managing and querying large data sets to drive business decisions, automating data processes, and developing reporting and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with customer data, providing insights, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Revenue Management to identify analysis needs.
  • Translate data into consumable formats such as dashboards, visualizations, and tables.
  • Analyze and organize data and reporting across multiple properties.
  • Review, clean, and transform data for business and analysis reporting needs.
  • Drive the adoption of reporting and dashboards in Tableau through training and partnership.
  • Partner with CRM Manager to develop and recommend customer segmentation.
  • Connect disparate data to evaluate marketing campaigns and business performance.
  • Identify strategic recommendations based on data and insights.
  • Maintain documentation and a reporting hub for data, reports, and insights.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst or in a related role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with marketing, sales, and business processes.
  • Experience combining marketing data from various sources to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
  • Proven experience providing analysis and insights for data-driven business decisions.
  • Experience building queries and manipulating data with SQL, Tableau, Python, R, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with ETL methods and technologies for customer and purchase data.
  • History of working with relational databases and large, complex data sets.
  • Ability to create reporting and data visualizations in Tableau or similar tools.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing.
  • Experience in the Travel & Leisure industry.
  • Experience with ski industry data.
  • Experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Experience with A/B Testing.
  • Familiarity with NPS and survey data.
